 Heartland Freedom Riders was formed in October 2018 by a group of horse enthusiasts who felt there was a need for a new rescue to help horses and other equines throughout Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana.  The new organization was publicly announced on October 12th by President Paul Bega and Vice-President Chyanne Bega

To improve the lives of equines by:

• educating and helping owners, 
• assisting law enforcement agencies, 
• rehabilitating abused, abandoned, and neglected equines, 
• accepting equines for surrender, and placing them into safe, permanent homes.  
• second chances to equines trapped in the slaughter pipeline
